Reviewed guidance published July 2024

This guidance has been prepared to identify the methods available to moorland managers for reducing the number of ticks (Ixodes ricinus) and the associated threat to the economic, environmental and public health status of moorland species.

Managers of sheep may find this guidance particularly useful so that they may carry out tick control in a safe, responsible and sustainable manner. There is also relevant information for those practitioners who manage cattle.
